Korea is the official state on the southern side of the Korean Peninsula. It is named after South Korea. Korea's name is derived from the family that ruled the region in the past. History of South Korea

Historically, the population of the Korean Peninsula dates back to the first Ice Age. In 2333 BC it was inhabited by the Dangin Wangum Dynasty. In 668, the Shala Dynasty was governed by the Shala Dynasty. This rule continued until 1910 when the remnants of the Korean Empire joined Japan. After the Second World War, the Korean split between North and South Korea emerged, which led to the establishment of a republic in South Korea in 1948 and another Republic of North Korea. In 1950, North Korean military forces invaded South Korea, which resulted in the so-called Korean War , Which ended after the signing of a truce between the two countries




Geography of South Korea

South Korea occupies about 1,100 km2 of the Korean peninsula's land area. The South Korean territory covers nearly 100,200 km² and contains many natural mountainous highlands formed by volcanic accumulations. South Korea's climate is continental, with high humidity, monsoon rains in summer and winter, temperatures below seven degrees Celsius in winter, and summer temperatures rising to more than 30 degrees Celsius
